Anyone know if there is a solar panel that you can travel with that is not USB plug in ?

I am heading to Nepal and do not want to lose power on my cameras but they can only be charged via “plugging in”. A USB connection does not work. Looking for a solar panel to clip to my bag or carry that I can plug in the charger as if plugging in to wall outlet. Thanks.

Does anybody know anyone who has a wind turbine?

I looked into solar panels a little and decided they are impractical. I am a renter and i want a portable unit. I’ll honestly probably never buy them, but i’m really curious about finding practical, affordable solutions for individuals looking for renewable energy sources.
Amazon.com has a wind turbine with generator for $600 that generates 400+ watts of energy. A space heater requires ~1500 and would provide a significant amount of heat for a small home, so it would require maybe three turbines. It might be worth it. . .
The solar panels were $300 to produce 60 watts, by the way
again, this is just a curiosity.
Thanks!!

Does anyone know how solar batteries work? Is there a special charger or does the sun charge the new ones?

I am asking about the small batteries which go into garden solar lights. I have bought some replacement batteries but cannot find out if they have a special charger, or if the sun just charges them.

ALTERNATIVELY: are my solar lights just kaput? They did not last long..

How do I know when my battery is fully charged?

I’ve got a 12v battery on my boat running my lights and other misc electronic equipment. It’s charged through a 65w solar panel and sunsei charge controller. The charge status will drop at night even with no load on the battery. The charge setpoint is set at 14.4v. Does it sound like everything is setup right even though this is happening?
It will drop to approx. 12.3-12.7 during the night, but more towards the 12.3. Don’t think I’ve seen it past 12.3 though. The “battery status” light shows it going from green into the yellow at this point, which concerns me. But, I believe the status is simply dictated by terminal voltage, so it doesn’t give me an accurate representation of the battery life. So, it puts me back to square one. haha
Btw, just to specify, it’s a Deep Cycle.

I’m building a solar panel (70-100 Watts) and i don’t know what size battery makes sense to use?

Please recomend one of these batteries in which to store the power generated by my solar panel.

Do you know of a good, cheap solar charger for a laptop?

I’m looking for a portable solar panel that will charge a laptop, when out in africa.

Do you know of…

1. The make and model of a good, cheap solar charger that will directly charge the laptop battery (and ideally let you use the laptop while charging), and/or

2. A portable solar charger with built-in battery, so I can leave it to charge outdoors, without the laptop connected.

I’m looking for the cheapest system that will do the job, not an absolute top-of-the-range system.

Any help would be much appreciated.
