I want to get my husband a portable generator for his new workspace away from home. He needs to be able to run a table saw, circular saw, router, jig saw, compressor and various other tools. Not really all at the same time but within the same two hours. I really want a solar powered one considering we live in such a sunny place it would also save money in the long run. Any recommendations? I want a quality one but money is an object so not outrageously priced. Thanks!

I am looking to run a generator to power my mobile home when my solar and wind generators aren’t making enough power. I usually park in semi suburban areas and the last time I ran my generator for a prolonged period I got a noise complaint and had to move at 3am [not so fun] what are some ways to quiet down the generator while its running?
What is a decent portable generator for camping?

I am looking for basically a miniature generator, something that I could charge up at an outlet, then go camping and have a bit of power to, say, run a netbook for a little while. Nothing over the top, just a little extra convenience.
I looked at solar generators, I didn’t find much that was overly reliable in that direction, but I would love to hear your opinion on a good version of that as well.
